"I could not be happier with the way my rug turned out! I looked ALL over the GTA for someone who not only cleans and restores, but dyes old hand woven rugs. I found nobody until I found Karllon in Thorold. I've had this Persian rug for well over 15 years. Unfortunately the yellow colour wasn't making the cut with the new home and new furniture. I was desperate to have it "bleached" (oxidized) and dyed to a more neutral greige. I couldn't fathom spending over 5 grand (minimum) for a new handmade rug or selling this one for any less. In came Karllon from Custom Colour Carpets and Rugs. I must say I was extremely hesitant to have my rug dyed because I know that achieving a lighter tone (or antique wash) is harder than cleaning and going darker. Karllon explained the process, what he can do realistically, and what to expect based on present colour combinations of the rug. Needless to say, he was a pleasure to work with and did an incredible job with the rug. And all within an exceptional timeline and price range for the craft he offers. It was absolutely worth it, and I am so satisfied with the final product. I will say that I am already thinking about bringing over my other rugs for a cleaning and restoration!"
